December is Announced as Stop-DWI Month by Governor Hochul

On December 7, 2022, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul proclaims December as STOP-DWI Month and announces statewide measures to stop impaired driving. Part of this initiative involves partners, New York State Restaurant Association and Empire State Tavern Association.

In addition, there is a newly-launched impaired driving public service announcement (PSA).

“STOP-DWI NY is excited to partner with two likeminded associations, the NYS Restaurant Association and the Empire State Restaurant and Tavern Association on the “Alcohol to Go labels!”   We have a mutual interest in both the success of business and traffic safety on our roadways, so we look forward to continuing this work together. “ (Lindsay Tomidy, STOP-DWI Western Regional Chair and lead of the “Alcohol to Go” Partnership).
