Oswego County STOP-DWI Coordinator Retires

Paul R. Stoner (Rick) an 18 year veteran of the Oswego County STOP-DWI Program is slated to retire at the close of business on December 30, 2011. Rick was involved in many successful programs in the effort to ensure safety of the folks traveling the roads in Oswego County. One of the most noteworthy is a program targeting underage offenders called “Project U-Turn.”

“Project U-Turn” is a partnership between the District Attorney, STOP-DWI and COCOAA (County of Oswego Council on Alcoholism and Addictions). Within the past two months this project has been chosen by “SAMHSA” Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to be promoted and released nationwide as a results proven program.

Congratulations and good luck Rick. Your hard work over the years has been a great asset to the fight against drunk driving in New York State.
