"I Spy STOP-DWI" Social Media Scavenger Hunt Campaign

NYS STOP-DWI has launched a summer social media campaign called “ISpySTOPDWI.” Think of this initiative as a scavenger hunt for safe driving DWI messages in the real world.

The purpose of the campaign is to remind drivers about the dangers of impaired driving in a way that is more memorable. Drivers of all ages are using social media. We thought this would be a great channel to highlight people who want to share the important message of NOT driving while impaired, especially during the warm weather season, which sees a high number of impaired driving incidents.

How this works

Take a selfie photo or have someone take a photo of you with a “Stop Driving While Impaired (DWI)” message you spot during your day.

Step 1) Post your photo with an optional short caption that describes what you found.

Step 2) Tag/mention NYS STOP-DWI

Step 3) Use the #ISpySTOPDWI hashtag and your New York State county as a hashtag.

We’d love you to share the game with your followers.  For pre-written posts & a library of images – check out our ‘Social Media Kit’
